I am frustrated by the common use in the game today of the term "grand slam" when talking about one of the four major tournaments. A grand slam is a very rare achievement in which a player wins all four majors in a calendar year. Only five players have ever done it: Don Budge (1938); Maureen Connelly (1953); Rod Laver twice (1962 and 1969); Margaret Court (1970); and Steffi Graf (1989). This constant wrong usage by tennis commentators, players, and writers needs to STOP! The powers that be seem to want to make one event sound more grandiose than it actually is in order to draw more viewers to the sport. Could you please address this in an upcoming editorial or article?

Thank you.
